Safe first transfer

  1. Back up the iPod database.
  2. Connect it through a cable or adapter that exposes it in Files.
  3. Select the tested iPod Classic 7th-generation profile.
  4. Transfer one track and verify it before moving a full library.

What is tested?

PodBridge 2.2 is tested on iPod Classic 160 GB, late 2009 / 7th generation. Other profiles, including nano and mini, are experimental. Back up first and begin with one track.

Does this download Apple Music?

No. It works with files you are authorized to use and does not bypass DRM.

Do I need iTunes?

This workflow uses Files on iPhone or iPad. The iPod still needs to appear in Files through compatible hardware.
